Ryanair passenger nearly sucked out of plane through broken window
A 61-year-old Serbian man was partially sucked out of a Ryanair plane window during a flight from Greece to Germany. The aircraft returned to Thessaloniki.

A Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki, Greece, to Memmingen, Germany, experienced a broken window mid-flight, resulting in a passenger being partially sucked out of the aircraft. The incident occurred on July 10 over North Macedonia at an altitude of 6,000 meters.
According to eyewitnesses, the 61-year-old Serbian man, who was seated by the window, had his head and shoulders pulled outside. Fellow passengers struggled to hold him inside the cabin. Oxygen masks deployed during the incident. The pilot decided to abort the flight and return to the departure airport.
The injured passenger was taken to a hospital in Thessaloniki with no serious injuries. A replacement plane later transported the remaining passengers to Germany.
Greek media reported that the window may have been damaged by a part that detached from the aircraft's engine. The plane was a Boeing 737-800. An investigation has been launched. Ryanair only stated that the cabin window depressurized shortly after takeoff.
