Sandis Jansons, chairman of the management board of AS "Sadales tīkls," Latvia's electricity distribution system operator, will step down from his position on September 30 this year. The departure was announced by the company's shareholder, AS "Latvenergo," in an official statement to the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.

According to the statement, Jansons is leaving the post to continue his professional career at another major Latvian company. Neither the shareholder's announcement nor other available information specifies which company Jansons will join next, nor has a successor for the "Sadales tīkls" board been named.

"Sadales tīkls" is Latvia's electricity distribution system operator, part of the "Latvenergo" group, and is responsible for delivering electricity to the majority of the country's consumers. As one of Latvia's key infrastructure operators, a change in its leadership could have implications for future decisions on the development of the distribution network and related investments.
