On Friday, September 4, the Saeima building held a ceremony to unveil a wall plaque commemorating recipients of the Statehood Award. The plaque is placed near the Baltic Hall and lists the names of all award laureates.

The Statehood Award is given to individuals whose contributions exceed what is normally expected of them. According to the announcement, the everyday work of these recipients serves as a source of inspiration for others.

By unveiling the plaque, the Saeima aimed to create a lasting, visible tribute to award recipients within the parliament building itself — a location carrying symbolic weight in the country's institutional life. Going forward, visitors to the Saeima building will be able to see the names of those who have received this recognition.
