Design phase begins for renovation of Narva rowing base; completion planned for 2028
Narva has signed a contract for the design of the reconstruction of its rowing base. The renovation is expected to be completed by June 30, 2028.

This week, the city of Narva signed a contract for the design of the reconstruction of the rowing base of the "Energia" sports school, located at 1 Jõe Street. The contract is worth €28,272 and will be carried out by Kompro OÜ, according to the city's Development and Economics Department on Narva's official website.
The design phase, including all necessary expert assessments, will last until April 2027. After the design is completed, the Narva City Government will announce a public procurement tender for selecting a construction contractor. The renovation is planned to be finished no later than June 30, 2028.
The project has received €500,000 in support under the measure "Improving Energy Efficiency of Public Sector Cultural Heritage Objects 2025." The funding is provided by the state from revenues generated by the European Union's trading of greenhouse gas emission allowances.
The aim of the project is to preserve and ensure the sustainable use of the Narva rowing base building, which is a cultural heritage object. The project will improve the building's energy efficiency, enhance the indoor climate, and bring it into line with modern operational requirements.
During construction, mandatory heritage protection supervision will be provided in accordance with current legal requirements in the field of cultural heritage protection.
As previously reported by Rus.ERR, the renovation plans include replacing windows and doors with more heat-efficient models, modernizing heating and ventilation systems, installing an air-to-water heat pump, reconstructing the heating substation, and upgrading the lighting to modern standards. The total project cost is estimated at approximately €635,000.
