Construction of two school annexes and renovation of one school begins in Salaspils

The Salaspils municipality has launched construction work to create new learning spaces at two educational institutions. Two-storey modular buildings will be erected next to the Salaspils Primary School and Salaspils 1st Secondary School. Each annex will contain four classrooms, common areas, auxiliary rooms, and sanitary facilities. Each addition is designed to accommodate up to 120 students, increasing the overall capacity at both schools.

In addition to the annexes, renovation of existing spaces has begun at Salaspils Primary School. The work includes modernizing classrooms, corridors, stairwells, the library, and restrooms, as well as updating engineering communications and lighting. Accessibility for people with functional impairments will also be improved. The most extensive changes will take place on the third and fifth floors, where all rooms will be fully renovated.

The construction of the modular buildings is carried out by SIA "Inos", with supervision by SIA "Fabrum". Renovation work at the primary school is performed by SIA "FF", with supervision by SIA "Prokrial". Both annexes must be completed by October 2, while the primary school renovation must be finished by October 18.

The total project cost is 3,455,484 euros. Of this, EU fund co-financing amounts to 1,240,969 euros, and the Salaspils municipality co-financing is 2,214,515 euros.
