Samsung has announced a new Galaxy Event scheduled for August 27, at which it plans to present the latest addition to its Galaxy S26 lineup. While the company has not officially named the device, it is widely expected to be the Galaxy S26 FE, a Fan Edition model Samsung typically unveils in a separate event following its flagship launches.

Fan Edition phones offer a more affordable alternative to Samsung's flagship devices, while still being priced above its standard mid-range lineup. In its announcement, Samsung said the upcoming S26 device would carry over core experiences from the main series, including its camera system, AI features and the latest version of One UI software.

Rumored specifications

According to leaks circulating ahead of the event, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is reportedly powered by an Exynos 2500 chipset and equipped with a triple camera setup: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera.

Samsung will stream the unveiling live on its website and YouTube channel on August 27 at 8AM Eastern time.
