Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 leak hints at thinner design, brighter screen and bigger battery
New renders and specifications for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have emerged just days before the official launch, showing improved dust and water resistance, a slimmer body, a brighter display, and a larger battery.
A fresh leak from Evan Blass, who runs the Substack Leakmail, has revealed detailed renders and specs of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for Wednesday. The leaked images suggest a significant upgrade in durability, with an IP69K dust- and water-resistance rating, up from the IP68 rating of the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra.
According to the leak, the new model is 12% thinner than its predecessor. Battery capacity is expected to increase from 590 mAh to 800 mAh. The display brightness is also getting a boost, jumping from 3,000 nits to a substantial 5,000 nits.
For performance, Blass claims the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, corroborating earlier reports from last week. The same chipset is also expected to power the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9. Official confirmation and pricing details will be revealed at Samsung's event on Wednesday.
