Samsung Hikes Galaxy S26 Prices by $100 in the US
Samsung has raised US prices on most Galaxy S26 models by $100 or more, while the budget S26 FE remains largely unchanged. The base S26 now costs $200 more than its S25 predecessor did.

Samsung has pushed through a second round of price increases on its Galaxy S26 lineup in the US, according to a report from Phone Arena. The base Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage now costs $999, up $100 from its previous price.
The increase affects nearly every model listed on Samsung's official US website. The 512GB Galaxy S26 now costs $1,199, while the Galaxy S26 Plus has risen to $1,199 and $1,399 for its 256GB and 512GB versions respectively. The steepest jump hit the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra, which climbed $200, from $1,799 to $1,999. Other Ultra configurations rose by $100 each — the 256GB model now costs $1,399 and the 512GB model $1,599.
A second increase this year
This is not the first price adjustment for the S26 series. Both the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus already launched $100 more expensive than their S25 counterparts earlier this year, a jump Samsung partly attributed to rising RAM prices at the time. Combined with this latest hike, the base Galaxy S26 now costs $200 more than the base Galaxy S25 did at launch.
The lone exception in the lineup is the Galaxy S26 FE, which remains priced at $699 and was not affected by this latest round of increases. Even so, that starting price is already higher than the S25 FE's was, despite the device being, as The Verge's Dominic Preston described it, essentially the same phone as last year's model.
Samsung is not alone in raising smartphone prices this year — both Apple and Google have also increased prices across their respective phone lineups in 2026.
