Moldovan President Maia Sandu said on social media platform X that the country's airspace had again been violated, with an unmanned aerial vehicle crashing on Moldovan territory. According to preliminary expert findings, the wreckage belongs to a "Geran"-type drone.

Sandu linked the incident to Russia's massive overnight missile and drone strike on Ukraine, which killed civilians and damaged residential buildings, a school and a hospital. She strongly condemned the attacks.

"Our airspace was once again violated, and a drone fell on the territory of Moldova. Much more pressure must be put on Russia to put an end to this," Sandu said.

It was also reported that during the same night's attack, a drone crashed in an uninhabited area of Romania. This is not the first time Russian drones have violated Moldovan airspace amid strikes on neighboring Ukraine.
