With about 90% of votes counted, current coalition without ZZS could secure 59 Saeima seats
With roughly 90% of ballots counted, the Greens and Farmers Union (ZZS) is failing to clear the 5% threshold, sharply boosting the mandate count for the Union of Greens' main rival and potentially giving the current coalition without ZZS a 59-seat majority.

With approximately 90% of votes counted in the election, the Greens and Farmers Union (ZZS) is sitting at 4.62% of the vote, below the 5% threshold required to enter the Saeima. Six parties currently remain above that bar.
The largest share, 35.44%, goes to the United List (AS). Second place belongs to "Latvia First" (LPV) with 13.22%, followed by the "Sovereign Power/Union of New Latvians" alliance (SV/AJ) with 11.73%. The National Alliance (NA) has 9.09% support, the Progressives have 7.24%, and New Unity (JV) has 6.18%.
Seat distribution
ZZS falling out of contention significantly increases the number of mandates available to AS, which could now claim 41 seats based on current figures. LPV could receive 17 seats, SV/AJ 15, NA 11, the Progressives nine, and New Unity seven.
This would allow the current governing coalition, minus ZZS, to collectively hold 59 of the 100 Saeima seats — enough to secure a majority.
Alternatively, given previously drawn political "red lines," a majority could theoretically also be formed by just two parties — AS and NA together, which would hold 52 seats.
Parties below the threshold
Besides ZZS, several other parties have failed to clear the 5% barrier: "We Change the Rules" has 3.47% of the vote, "For Latvia's Development" 2.13%, "For Stability" 2.03%, "Rising Sun for Latvia" 1.34%, the Gobzems List 0.98%, the Harmony Centre 0.84%, and the New Conservative Party 0.33%.
