Traffic Changes Near Riga Airport: Adjustments to Pilot and Tower Streets
The Mārupe municipality has announced traffic reorganizations near Riga Airport, including the restoration of two-way traffic on Tower Street and one-way traffic on Pilot Street, as well as revised access to the P4 long-term parking lot and the airBaltic training center.

The Mārupe municipality has announced changes to traffic organization affecting Pilot Street and Tower Street. The adjustments aim to improve traffic flow and enhance safety, especially during peak hours.
On Tower Street, the section from Museum Street to Pilot Street will be restored to two-way traffic. Meanwhile, Pilot Street between Tower Street and Northern Street will become a one-way street, allowing travel only toward Northern Street. This measure is intended to reduce conflict points and make maneuvers safer.
To reach the P4 long-term parking lot and the airBaltic training center, drivers traveling on road P133 must take the right exit onto Tower Street, then continue onto Pilot Street. Entry will be guided by road signs. When exiting the parking lot or training center, drivers must proceed along Pilot Street toward Northern Street, following the new one-way regulations.
The municipality urges drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution, adhere to road signs and traffic instructions, and plan additional travel time if necessary, especially when heading to the airport. It is also recommended to review temporary traffic schemes available online and on-site, as short-term changes to barriers and traffic organization may occur during the works.
