Fighters from the Alpha Center for Special Operations of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have carried out successful strikes against Russian military targets in Crimea. According to the SBU, the attacks targeted air defense systems near the Kerch Strait, as well as the infrastructure of the Saki and Gvardiyske military airfields.

Preliminary reports indicate that at the Saki airfield, four hangars used for storing aircraft were hit. Near Kerch, two units of the S-400 surface-to-air missile system and two Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile/gun systems were destroyed.

The SBU noted that this is the fourth Pantsir-S1 to be hit by Alpha in the area. “Russian occupiers are losing control over the skies of Crimea. Each destroyed air defense system and each damaged military airfield opens new opportunities for further Ukrainian strikes against the enemy's military infrastructure,” the statement said.
