Student Short Film Screening Series to Launch in Sēlija and Latgale
This week a student short film showcase titled '...glāzi kino, lūdzu!' begins in the Sēlija and Latgale regions of Latvia, featuring four screenings of works by university students.
The arrival of autumn brings shorter days, which is good news for outdoor cinema screenings, as the darkness needed to project films sets in earlier than during summer.
Taking advantage of this, a new short film showcase titled '...glāzi kino, lūdzu!' ('...A Glass of Cinema, Please!') begins this week. The event will take place across the Sēlija and Latgale regions of Latvia, with four screenings planned in total.
What will be shown
The showcase will present short-format films created by students of audiovisual disciplines from various Latvian universities. This gives audiences a chance to discover the work of emerging filmmakers before they establish themselves professionally in the industry.
