Canadian music star Céline Dion has arrived in Paris ahead of her much-anticipated concert residency, set to begin in roughly two weeks. A crowd of fans gathered outside the Royal Monceau hotel, where she will be staying during her time in the French capital, hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
Those who saw her described the 58-year-old as looking healthier, relaxed and as beautiful as ever, expressing delight at seeing her in person. Dion waved to the crowd, blew kisses and paused briefly to greet fans. She told reporters she felt supported and referred to Paris as her "second home." When asked which song would open the shows, she declined to reveal the answer.
A comeback after diagnosis
The Paris residency represents Dion's return to major live performances since she cancelled her Courage World Tour following her 2022 public disclosure of stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition.
The shows will take place at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, just west of Paris — previously known as Paris La Défense Arena — which holds up to 40,000 spectators. Dion's last Paris performance came in 2024, when she sang "Hymne à l'amour" at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
The 2026-2027 residency will comprise 16 concerts in September and October, followed by another 10 shows in May 2027.
