Senegalese guitarist Hervé Samb shared his thoughts on the essence of music in an interview with Latvian Radio 3 "Klasika" program "Pa ceļam ar Klasiku". According to him, music is very demanding and even jealous. To succeed in it, one needs enormous emotional effort, time, and attention.
The musician admits that this art form often complicates relationships with family and friends, as not everyone can understand the world of musicians. "It is very hard to live next to musicians if you don't understand this world," Samb emphasizes.
He believes that being a musician primarily means being truly passionate about your work. Music is not just a profession but a lifestyle with no retirement.
