The State Environmental Service (VVD) has found unauthorized disposal of construction waste and tree felling in the buffer zone of Lake Šēnheida, launching an administrative violation procedure.

The State Environmental Service (VVD) has reported violations in the protected zone of Lake Šēnheida, where illegal dumping of construction waste and tree cutting were detected.
Inspectors discovered various construction debris at the site, including bricks, concrete, asphalt-containing mixtures, gypsum-based materials, and soil waste. This activity breaches waste management regulations.
The VVD also noted unauthorized tree felling, the legality of which will be assessed with other authorities. The landowner has been ordered to immediately stop bringing in new materials and to manage existing waste according to legal requirements.
An administrative offense process has been initiated. Information has been forwarded to the Augšdaugava Municipality and the State Forest Service for further action.
The VVD encourages citizens to report possible environmental violations via the Environmental SOS hotline at 26338800 or the “Vides SOS” mobile app.
