SEP's Participation in Military Infrastructure Projects Demonstrates High Competence
Engineering company SEP showcases its ability to operate at the highest level through involvement in defense infrastructure projects, emphasizing the value of a multidisciplinary team and experience with complex facilities.

Defense infrastructure is becoming increasingly critical to national security systems, especially in the current geopolitical climate. Attention is focused on military bases, logistics facilities, and other strategic assets that form the foundation of national and NATO collective defense. Unlike traditional construction, military projects impose significantly higher requirements on companies—not only technical competence but also compliance with strict security and information protection standards. In some cases, employees are even vetted by state security agencies.
SEP's commercial director Oļegs Umanskis notes that participation in such projects confirms the company's ability to work at the highest professional level. "Military infrastructure design is not just another construction segment. It is a field where quality, precision, and reliability are absolute necessities. Mistakes are unacceptable, so the responsibility is particularly high. The opportunity to work in this segment is a significant recognition of our team's competence," Umanskis emphasizes.
The company's design director Pāvels Rešetņikovs explains that SEP's advantage lies in its broad multidisciplinary team, which includes architects, structural engineers, and specialists from various engineering fields. This approach enables efficient design of complex facilities with high security requirements. SEP's experience includes industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, data centers, and biomethane stations in Latvia and abroad. These skills allow the company to successfully engage in defense infrastructure development.
Military construction often involves enhanced state supervision and quality control, so design solutions must meet exceptionally high standards. SEP experts believe that defense infrastructure development in the Baltic states will become one of the most significant construction directions in the coming years, particularly with NATO's eastern flank reinforcement and the Baltic defense line. Participation in such projects is not only a professional endorsement but also a practical contribution to regional security.
