The Council for Public Electronic Media (SEPLP) has reviewed how Latvia's public broadcaster LSM covered the recent storm and the subsequent recovery efforts. The council concluded that LSM did not provide the public with sufficient and timely information about the situation.
Despite this finding, SEPLP stated that it does not see grounds to dismiss any member of LSM's board over the shortcomings identified in the storm coverage.
The council made its assessment public, though it did not offer further details on the specific deficiencies found in LSM's work or on any possible next steps.
