Mid-September in Latvia runs 2 degrees warmer than normal

According to data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, the second ten-day period of September brought warmer-than-usual weather across the country.

The average air temperature during this period reached +14.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2.1 degrees higher than the long-term norm for this time of year.

The figures, compiled from observations at weather stations nationwide, show that mid-September has been marked by comparatively mild conditions compared to the historical average temperature typical for this period.
