Sesks stays fifth after ten stages at Rally Finland

The Latvian crew of Mārtiņš Sesks and Renārs Francis continued their campaign in the World Rally Championship's tenth round, Rally Finland, on Friday. After the opening ten stages, the duo sit in fifth place overall.

The tenth stage was shared fastest by Takamoto Katsuta of Japan, driving a Toyota, and Belgium's Thierry Neuville in a Hyundai. The pair finished 0.3 seconds ahead of Britain's Elfyn Evans, who drives for Toyota Gazoo. Sesks was 11th on the stage, losing 5.2 seconds to the stage winners.

Overnight leader after ten stages is France's Sébastien Ogier in a Toyota Gazoo. Evans trails by 16.3 seconds, Finland's Sami Pajari in a Toyota by 26.7 seconds, Sweden's Oliver Solberg in a Toyota Gazoo by 41.3 seconds, and Sesks is fifth, one minute and 4.9 seconds behind the leader.

Ten stages remain in total: eight on Saturday and two on Sunday. Saturday's action gets underway at 8:00, while Sunday's first of two final stages is scheduled to start at 10:35. Live coverage will be available on Go3 Sport 1.
