Several special stages were held on Saturday at the Sardinia Rally, the final, 13th round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) season, but the results brought no change in standing for the Latvian crew.
Driver Mārtiņš Sesks and co-driver Renārs Francis completed the eighth, ninth and tenth special stages of the rally on Saturday. None of these stages allowed the Latvian pair to climb the overall classification — after Saturday's action, they remain in tenth place overall.
Season finale
The Sardinia Rally marks the last, 13th stop of the 2025 WRC season, meaning its results will factor into the crews' final standings for the year. Sesks and Francis have represented Latvia throughout the season in the top tier of world rallying.
The remaining stages in Sardinia, including Sunday's running, could still affect both the outcome of this particular event and the crews' final positions in the season standings. For now, the Sesks-Francis crew holds steady in tenth place, neither losing nor gaining ground during Saturday's stages.
