Sesks and Francis finish second in seventh stage of Rally Estonia, remain sixth overall
Latvian crew Mārtiņš Sesks and Renārs Francis placed second in the seventh stage of Rally Estonia on Friday, holding sixth place in the overall standings.

In the seventh stage of the ninth round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) – Rally Estonia – Latvian driver Mārtiņš Sesks and co-driver Renārs Francis (M-Sport Ford) finished second on Friday. The stage win went to Finland's Sami Pajari (Toyota Gazoo), who edged the Latvians by just 0.1 seconds. Belgium's Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was third, 0.2 seconds behind.
After seven stages, Pajari leads the overall classification, followed by Sweden's Oliver Solberg (Toyota) with a 14.7-second deficit and France's Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai) trailing by 16.5 seconds. The Sesks crew is 44.7 seconds off the lead and holds sixth place.
Earlier in the day, during the shakedown, Sesks and Francis hit a track barrier, causing minor damage to their car. Mechanics managed to repair it, but the crew left the service park two minutes late for the first stage, incurring a 20-second penalty.
The event in southeastern Estonia continues on Saturday with nine stages (from 9:50 AM to 9:00 PM), concluding on Sunday with the final stages (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM). Live coverage is available on the Go3 Sport 1 channel.
Last year, the Latvian duo finished eighth in the Rally Estonia WRC round.
