Sesks and Francis place 19th in first stage of Rally Finland

Latvian crew Mārtiņš Sesks and Renārs Francis achieved the 19th fastest time in the opening stage of Rally Finland on Thursday, placing 12th in the WRC classification.

The Latvian rally crew, with driver Mārtiņš Sesks and co-driver Renārs Francis, began their participation in the tenth round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) in Finland on Thursday. The first special stage ended with the 19th result for the Latvians, while in the WRC classification, which is compiled separately for championship contenders, the crew currently holds 12th place.

The opening stage of Rally Finland took place on Thursday. The Latvian crew managed to finish within the top twenty, posting the 19th fastest time. This result places Sesks and Francis 12th in the WRC standings, which are calculated separately from the overall event classification.

The tenth WRC round in Finland has begun with this first speed test. The Latvian crew still has the remaining special stages ahead, where they can improve their positions. So far, the published information shows that Sesks and Francis have settled into the rhythm of the rally, and their performance in the opening stage can be considered a solid start.
