Saturday to bring moderate warmth, gusty winds and scattered showers across Latvia

Latvia's weather on Saturday will be shaped by partly cloudy skies, gusty winds and a gradual rise in temperature, according to the forecast from meteorologists. Brief rain showers are possible in places both overnight and during daytime hours.

Overnight conditions

Overnight, a light to moderate southwesterly wind will blow across the country. Along the western coast of Kurzeme and the northern Vidzeme coastline, winds will be stronger, with gusts reaching up to 17 metres per second. Overnight air temperatures will range between +10 and +15 degrees.

Daytime conditions

During the day, southwesterly wind gusts of 10–15 metres per second are forecast, while coastal areas could see gusts of up to 19 metres per second. Afternoon temperatures will climb to between +16 and +20 degrees.

Weather in Riga

In the capital, Saturday will bring variable cloudiness with little chance of precipitation. A moderate south to southwesterly wind will blow. Overnight temperatures in Riga will hover around +13 degrees, rising to +19 degrees in the afternoon.

Overall, Saturday will carry an autumnal mix of conditions — relatively mild air on one hand, and strong wind gusts on the other, particularly along the coast, where they could affect outdoor activities and shipping.
