On Saturday, August 8, the National Armed Forces (NAF) set up a mobilization center at Riga's Teika Secondary School, where Latvian citizens who had applied for voluntary military training gathered with the aim of becoming reserve soldiers.

Similar centers were opened the same day in Valmiera, Kuldīga and Alūksne.

Training to follow in Alūksne

From all four gathering points, the future reservists will be transported to the Infantry School in Alūksne. There, over the course of three weeks, they will learn the basic military skills needed to serve as reserve soldiers.
