16 drunk drivers caught on Latvian roads on Saturday, four cars confiscated

Latvia's State Police reported catching 16 drivers under the influence of alcohol on Saturday, with four vehicles confiscated as a result.

Latvia's State Police announced that last Saturday, officers recorded 16 cases of drivers operating vehicles while under the influence of alcohol on the country's roads.

Under current rules that impose stricter consequences for drunk driving, four of the detained drivers had their vehicles confiscated.

Police continue to monitor road safety in an effort to reduce alcohol-related incidents on Latvia's roads.
