Saturday may be the last hot day of summer, forecasters say
Temperatures in Latvia are expected to reach up to +29°C on Saturday, likely marking the final hot day of this summer.

According to weather forecasters, the coming Saturday will be the warmest day of the week in Latvia. Temperatures are expected to climb to between +24°C and +29°C, and this could be the last day with such high readings this summer.
The sky will be partly cloudy, with no significant precipitation expected. Northern parts of the country will see more clouds, while southern regions will enjoy more sunshine. A gentle south-southwesterly wind will pick up slightly during the day, with gusts reaching up to 12 meters per second along the coast of Kurzeme.
On the night before Saturday, temperatures will drop to +10°C to +15°C, but coastal areas will remain milder at up to +18°C.
For Riga, Saturday is predicted to bring dry and fairly sunny conditions with a light to moderate south-southwesterly breeze. The overnight low will be around +15°C, while daytime highs will reach +28°C.
