Fate of migrants who crossed into Ceuta remains unclear weeks later
In the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, the fate of many migrants who crossed the border in late July remains unknown, with some, including unaccompanied minors, forced to sleep in dangerous conditions.

More than three weeks after a wave of migrants crossed into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta at the end of July, the fate of many of them remains unclear. The journey itself, often undertaken by sea or over difficult terrain, has left lasting trauma among those who made it across.
A number of migrants are still present in Ceuta, where many are forced to sleep in precarious and dangerous conditions due to a lack of adequate shelter. Among them are unaccompanied minors, who face particular vulnerability without adult protection.
Families left without answers
The situation is especially difficult for the families of migrants who attempted the crossing, many of whom have received little to no information about what happened to their loved ones. This uncertainty adds further distress to an already traumatic experience.
FRANCE 24 correspondent Hamza Hahboub, recently returned from the enclave, has compiled an update on the situation on the ground, describing both the current conditions faced by migrants and the lasting impact of the dangerous journey many undertook to reach European territory.
