Latvia women's floorball team earns two wins in Finland training camp
Latvia's women's national floorball team defeated Finnish F-liiga club Northern Stars twice during a training camp in Finland, as part of preparations for the World Floorball Championship qualification.

Ahead of the World Floorball Championship qualification tournament, Latvia's women's national floorball team traveled to Finland for a weekend training camp. There, the squad held two training sessions and played two friendly matches against Northern Stars, a club from Finland's top league.
Latvia won both matches, with final scores of 7:3 and 5:1. Anna Ankudinova was the top scorer with six points across the two games (three goals and three assists), while Madlena Rozite contributed four points in total, with two goals and two assists.
Coach's assessment
Head coach Remars Vikanis said that the result was not the main priority for the coaching staff during this trip. Instead, the matches were used to test different line combinations and evaluate new candidates for the national squad, while also focusing on puck-handling accuracy and positional play.
According to Vikanis, both games were played at a good pace and were fairly evenly matched, but Latvia's team proved stronger in the finishing phase of attacks, which ultimately secured the victories in both encounters. He described the trip to Finland as a valuable and useful step in continuing to develop the team's game ahead of the upcoming World Championship.
