Women's Champions League: Flora to Start Tournament with Match Against Maltese Club

Tallinn's Flora women's football team has learned their opponents in the Champions League qualifiers – they will face Malta's champions Mġarr United in the first round.

The draw for the first and second qualifying rounds of the 2026/27 UEFA Women's Champions League took place in Nyon, Switzerland. Estonian champions Tallinna Flora will begin their campaign with a match against Maltese champions Mġarr United.

19 clubs participated in the first qualifying round draw. As a result, four mini-tournaments of four teams and one mini-tournament of three teams were formed. Flora ended up in the three-team group. In the semi-final on July 22, the Tallinn side will face Mġarr United, who are making their Champions League debut. The winner will play the final on July 25 against Slovak champions Spartak Myjava.

The venue for this mini-tournament involving the Estonian club has yet to be announced. The winners of each final will advance to the second qualifying round. The winner of Flora's group will play Albanian side Vllaznia in the semi-final of the second round on August 5.

Flora are eight-time Estonian champions, having won the title in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
