Woman to Stand Trial for Murder Committed Under Influence of Alcohol in Ogre
Prosecutors have sent to court a criminal case against a woman who killed a person with a knife in Ogre in November 2025 while intoxicated.

The prosecution has submitted charges to the court against a woman for a murder committed in November 2025 in Ogre. While under the influence of alcohol, the accused, in a fit of anger and aggression, inflicted five stab wounds to the victim's head, neck, and chest area, where vital organs are located. The victim died at the scene from the injuries.
The accused has partially admitted guilt – she acknowledges causing the bodily harm but denies intent to kill. She has been remanded in custody. The prosecution emphasizes the presumption of innocence, noting that no one is considered guilty until proven otherwise in accordance with the law.
