According to the company 'Adven Latvija', a sudden drop in water pressure was detected in its heating systems during the night of June 19. Emergency services rushed to the site near the company's station in Sigulda.

There they discovered that several youths, risking their lives, had released over ten cubic meters of 65-degree hot water from the system. In order to access the pipes, they damaged the infrastructure – a significant part of a staircase had been sawed off, possibly to hinder access to the pipes.

Although the damage is not considered very substantial and no one was injured, the company emphasizes that the situation could have ended far more tragically. Māris Kānītis, board member of 'Adven Latvija', stated that these are not places for adventures or showing off bravery, and that this was a case with a happy ending. The company calls on parents to discuss safety and responsible behavior with their children. The perpetrators have not yet responded.
