Storm winds damage roofs of sports hall and kindergarten in Sigulda municipality

Recent strong winds in Sigulda municipality have caused damage to the roofs of two municipal buildings, according to information provided to the LETA news agency by Elīna Garbovska, head of the municipality's Communications Department.

One of the affected buildings is the sports hall belonging to the former Mālpils vocational secondary school, whose roof was damaged by the wind. The second affected site is the "Tornīši" kindergarten, where the roof was also harmed by the storm.

The municipal representative did not provide further details on the extent of the damage or the repair work that will be required. It also remains unclear whether the buildings continue to operate as normal or whether the roof damage has affected their use.
