Concerns over staff exodus at Sigulda municipality; opposition points to leadership style
Several heads and employees of Sigulda municipality institutions have left or announced departure recently. Opposition links it to the council leadership's work style, while the mayor claims turnover is only 10%.

The Sigulda region has seen an increased staff turnover in its municipal institutions in recent months. Several managers and employees have left their jobs or announced their resignation. The opposition attributes this to the leadership style and communication of council chairman Linards Kumskis. However, the mayor claims that staff turnover is only 10% and sees no reason for concern.
Former employees interviewed by "Delfi" speak of possible violations and circumstances that led to the termination of their employment. "I did not agree to everything I was told," said one former employee, indicating disagreements with management.
The political situation in Sigulda has been unstable in recent years – four council chairs have come and gone in four years. Current mayor Linards Kumskis returned to office after Jānis Vimba, who became mayor after last year's municipal elections, was ousted just a few months later. The opposition is now raising the alarm about staff departures, considering it a sign of deeper problems within the municipality.
