Siliņa: New Unity ready to work in either coalition or opposition
Saeima deputy and former Prime Minister Evika Siliņa said the New Unity party is prepared to work both in a ruling coalition and in opposition, adding it is too early to judge the next government's composition since official Saeima election results are not yet known.

Saeima deputy and former Prime Minister Evika Siliņa of the New Unity party told the LETA news agency that her party is ready to take on work regardless of the role it is assigned after the election — whether that means joining the ruling coalition or remaining in opposition.
The politician stressed that it is currently too early to speculate about the makeup of the next Cabinet of Ministers. Siliņa based this assessment on the fact that the official results of the Saeima election have not yet been announced.
Uncertainty before final results
Siliņa refrained from offering further comments on possible coalition partners or specific scenarios for forming a government, noting that such questions can only be properly assessed once precise election data becomes available.
With this statement, New Unity is signaling its readiness to adapt to either outcome — continuing to participate in government if voter support and negotiations with other parties allow for it, or operating as an opposition force while awaiting a future opportunity.
The party led by Siliņa has recently been part of the ruling coalition, with Siliņa herself having served as Prime Minister. Her current statement suggests the party does not view its place in the next government as guaranteed and is prepared for fresh negotiations depending on the election outcome.
The situation in the Saeima and the subsequent process of forming a government will become clearer once the Central Election Commission announces the final, official election results.
