At Folkestone Harbour Arm in southeast England, hundreds of people wore flowing red costumes to recreate the famous dance from Kate Bush's 1978 song 'Wuthering Heights'. The performance was part of 'The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever 2026', a worldwide celebration inspired by Bush's iconic music video.

First launched in the UK in 2013, the event now takes place in cities around the globe. Local organiser Toby Cotton said that people enjoy coming together for a shared moment of fun, adding that 'fun is infectious'. For many participants, the appeal lies as much in the sense of community as in paying tribute to one of British pop's most recognisable songs.
