Sindija Bokāne says Niks Endziņš's appendicitis could have been fatal

Latvian influencer Sindija Bokāne spoke on the show “Slavenības. Bez filtra” (“Celebrities. Unfiltered”) about the health of her beloved partner, Niks Endziņš. She did so in a video recorded outside Riga Central Prison, where she was bringing Niks a 20-inch television. According to Bokāne, Endziņš has returned to prison from the Gaiļezers hospital.

Bokāne said Niks had appendicitis, an inflammation of the appendix, and that the situation was very serious. At the hospital, a nurse told her the condition was so acute that he might not have woken up. She added that she had not disclosed this at the time because her emotions were too strong. Niks's mother had told her that her son had never before had stomach problems.

Comments on the legal case

Bokāne stressed that Endziņš has been acquitted of charges of drug trafficking and distribution, but that the final verdict has not yet come into force. In her view, the media are spreading incorrect information that her partner is a drug addict or a dealer. She said the fight is now over clearing the charge of drug possession. Bokāne claims the drugs were planted on him because of a vengeful woman.

Two or even three more lawyers are expected to join the case. Bokāne hopes the verdict can be appealed and says nothing has changed in the proceedings.

Phone call with Niks and criticism online

Bokāne said that in a phone call Endziņš urged her to treat herself to a piece of jewellery. She said she has access to his bank account and wallet. She sees this as a sign of care even from prison.

She also responded to accusations that she lives at Niks's expense. Bokāne called such comments nonsense and said she lives on her own money as well.
