Sinner beats Zverev to claim second Wimbledon title

Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon final, securing his second title at the All England Club.

Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner beat Germany's Alexander Zverev, world No. 3 and this year's French Open champion, 6-7 (7:9), 7-6 (7:2), 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon final on Sunday.

The first set went to a tiebreak, which Zverev won 9-7. The second set also featured no breaks and reached a tiebreak, but this time Sinner dominated 7-2. In the third set, Sinner converted the only break point in the eighth game to lead 5-3 and then held serve. In the fourth set, Sinner broke in the seventh game with his third break point to go up 4-3 and converted his first match point in the tenth game to close out the match 6-4.

This is Sinner's second Wimbledon title. He also has two Australian Open titles, one US Open title, and a runner-up finish at the 2025 French Open. At 29 years and 70 days old, Zverev became the oldest player in the Open Era to reach the finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments.
