Most of Latvia will see short spells of rain on Friday evening, with heavy rain in some places. On Saturday there will be considerably less precipitation, affecting only a few areas of the country, according to forecasters. The forecast covers both days of the weekend and applies to Riga as well as the rest of the country.
Conditions nationwide
Skies will be mostly cloudy. Fog will form in many places during the night and in the morning. The wind will shift to northerly and north-easterly directions and will blow weakly to moderately.
At night, air temperatures will fall to +3..+7 degrees Celsius. In some coastal areas they will not drop below +9 degrees. During the day, the air will warm up to +7..+11 degrees.
Forecast for Riga
In the capital, it will rain at times. On Saturday morning and during the day, no more precipitation is expected in Riga. The wind will be northerly and north-easterly, weak to moderate. The air temperature will be around +7 degrees at night and around +9 degrees during the day.
The weekend will therefore bring cloudy weather, foggy mornings and daytime temperatures that stay within +11 degrees across the country, while nights will in places fall to +3 degrees. After the Friday evening rain, the areas of precipitation will shrink on Saturday.
