Syrskyi Denies Conflict with Fedorov; Points to Funding Disagreements

In an article published on Monday evening, Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi denied any conflict between himself and dismissed Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. He stated that he learned of the alleged tensions from media reports and described his relationship with Fedorov as working relations with complex issues and differing positions.

Syrskyi apologized for any harshness that may have offended someone and urged everyone to focus on the overarching goal of victory. He also refuted claims that he issued ultimatums to the leadership or ran the army using messaging apps.

The commander-in-chief emphasized that accusations of unwillingness to wage war with drones are false, noting that he oversaw the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces. However, he revealed that Fedorov diverted some funds allocated for soldiers' pay to drone purchases, causing problems with military personnel's financial support. Authorities are now seeking ways to ensure timely and full payments to troops.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff dismissed as false media reports about the possible dismissal of the commander-in-chief.
