Man City join Man Utd in race for Kone; Tottenham eye Man City duo
Manchester City have entered the race to sign Roma midfielder Manu Kone, previously linked with rivals Manchester United, while Tottenham are negotiating for two Manchester City players. Several other transfer moves are also in motion across Europe.

Manchester City have added Roma midfielder Manu Kone, 25, to their list of transfer targets, joining crosstown rivals Manchester United, who were already linked with the France international earlier this summer. The move sets up a potential head-to-head battle between the two Manchester clubs for his signature.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are in discussions to sign two Manchester City players — Brazilian winger Savinho, 22, and Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, 27.
Defensive reshuffles
Aston Villa are considering a move for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo, 28, as they look for a replacement for Ezri Konsa following his transfer to Arsenal. Benfica have also reportedly made contact with Chelsea regarding the same player.
Other deals in motion
Barcelona are keeping an eye on Harry Kane's contract negotiations with Bayern Munich, as the 33-year-old England striker enters the final year of his current deal. Barcelona have also paused their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, 26, while they weigh other options.
Sunderland could break their transfer record by triggering Sporting's 60m-euro release clause for Mozambique winger Geny Catamo, 25. Everton are interested in Como winger Assane Diao, 20, whose price tag could reach £50m-£60m.
Arsenal are working on two deals with Manchester United, for winger James Scanlon, 19, and right-back Habeeb Ogunneye, 20. Meanwhile, Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is not seeking a move to Napoli despite their interest, and Juventus have joined Napoli in eyeing United forward Joshua Zirkzee, though both Italian clubs need to sell players first.
Hull City are close to a deal with Real Betis for Spanish winger Pablo Garcia, 20, while Hull, Ipswich Town and Al-Ittihad are competing to sign Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, 26, from Girona. Atletico Madrid are hoping to beat Manchester United to Spanish defender Jorge Salinas, 19, from Racing Santander.
