Teachers' Day: Could you handle a job interview for a teaching position?

Every year on October 5, Latvia celebrates Teachers' Day, a holiday dedicated to recognizing people who work in education. The occasion is a reminder that a teacher's job goes far beyond explaining formulas or grammar rules.
More than just teaching
The teaching profession is described as a calling rather than simply a job. Teachers are said to need patience and composure even amid classroom chaos, along with daily doses of diplomacy and empathy toward students in all kinds of situations. Not everyone, it is noted, has what it takes to become a good teacher — it requires a particular kind of talent and resilience.

To mark the holiday, a short interactive quiz was created, inviting readers to find out whether they possess the qualities needed to survive a job interview for a teaching position.
