Scotland's Boston love affair one for the ages
Scotland fans have won over Boston with their behavior, despite a haggis hoax by the governor.

Boston has been taken over by the Tartan Army this week. The Scottish fans have spread joy, donated to charity, and even won the 50/50 draw at Fenway Park. However, a video of Governor Maura Healey declaring haggis legal in Massachusetts turned out to be a joke, as she clarified the next day.
No arrests have been reported among Scotland fans in Boston or Providence, highlighting their exemplary conduct. The love affair has gone beyond baseball: Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announced a sister city application with Glasgow, doing so in a Scottish pub wearing a Scotland jersey.
At Fenway Park on Sunday, thousands of Scots sang and celebrated as the Red Sox lost to the Rangers. The fans also attended Pride Night at the baseball game. Many fans describe this as the trip of a lifetime, especially since Scotland is at a World Cup for the first time in 28 years. The positive atmosphere has been a testament to the bond between the two cultures.
