Lāsma Dzelme from Skrīveri admits that she never considered herself an inspiring person, but talking to her reveals that she indeed is. She does not claim life has been easy – she has faced mistakes, fears, and difficult decisions, including moments when she had to start over. However, she learned not to stop.

Lāsma was born, grew up, and lived her first 35 years in Valmiera. She moved to Skrīveri because of her family – together with her husband, they decided to relocate to be closer to each other. Her husband had an old country house in Skrīveri, and they began renovating it. Although initially it seemed everything would happen quickly, the house is still being built by their own hands without loans, and every corner is carefully thought out.

Her career path has led from accounting to forest economics and energy. She also started doing sports – from the first awkward steps to international tournaments in Germany and the United States. Lāsma emphasizes that life should not be postponed until tomorrow and encourages not to be afraid to take steps, because after that you can be afraid.
