Slaidins: Drone strikes on Vladimir region oil pumps are one of the most powerful recent blows to Russian energy
NBS Major Jānis Slaidins states that drone strikes by SBU Alpine units on oil pumping stations in Russia’s Vladimir region represent a significant loss for Moscow, disrupting fuel supplies to the capital and exports, while reducing resources for the war in Ukraine.

In a TV24 broadcast titled "Current Events on the War in Ukraine," National Armed Forces Major and Zemessardze staff officer Jānis Slaidins commented that drone strikes by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Alpine units on Russian territory are among the most significant attacks in recent times. He explained that the strikes targeted the "Vtorovo" and "Lobkovo" oil pumping stations in the Vladimir region.
These facilities were responsible for ensuring the flow of diesel fuel to the Moscow region, as well as further transportation of oil products via pipelines and exports through Baltic Sea ports, including St. Petersburg. Slaidins emphasized that disruptions to these pumping stations significantly affect fuel supplies to both industrial and military facilities, and negatively impact Russia's oil exports.
According to him, each such strike reduces Russia's resources and revenues that the state could allocate to continuing the war in Ukraine. Slaidins noted that this is one of the most powerful recent strikes on Russia's energy infrastructure.
