Murder investigation launched after mother and children found dead near Bedford
British police have launched a murder investigation after the bodies of a mother and her two children were discovered in a home in Great Denham; the suspect, known to the victims, is believed to have left the country.

Bedfordshire Police has begun a murder investigation after a mother and her two children were found dead at a property near Bedford.
The force reported that officers were called to a home in Great Denham on Monday over concerns for the woman and children, who had not been seen for several days. After forcing entry, they discovered the bodies.
Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy said the suspect, known to all three victims, has been identified and is believed to have fled the country.
"This is a deeply distressing incident in which a mother and her two children are believed to have been murdered. While there is nothing to suggest there is any wider risk to the public, we will be increasing the police presence in and around the area to support the investigation and provide reassurance to residents," Murphy stated.
He urged anyone with information about the incident or who had observed suspicious activity in Carnoustie Drive, particularly on Friday and Saturday, to contact police via the webchat service at www.beds.police.uk or call 101 quoting Operation Snowdrift.
Murphy also asked the public to avoid speculation and to respect the privacy of the victims.
