The road in Ziemupe, Kurzeme, has become a serious obstacle for local business and tourism. According to the program “Let's Discuss in the Evening,” locals report that due to the poor road conditions, vacationers are increasingly canceling reservations or choosing other destinations.

Meanwhile, Latvijas Valsts ceļi (State Roads of Latvia) does not plan significant investments in this road, as it believes the road should be handed over to the municipality. This situation raises concerns about regional tourism development, as the road condition directly affects visitor numbers and local business revenues.

It remains unclear when or how this issue will be resolved, but residents and entrepreneurs are calling for a solution to prevent losing tourists and to support Kurzeme’s tourism potential.
