A photograph of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky taken during State Flag Day celebrations in Kyiv has drawn attention on social media. What caught users' attention, however, was not the ceremonial scene itself but a small detail: reddish marks visible on the knuckles of Zelensky's right hand. Speculation and ironic commentary
Both ordinary users and more prominent figures commented on the photo. Journalist and blogger Sergiy Sternenko remarked ironically that the marks on Zelensky's hand looked as though he had hit someone.
Other commenters offered calmer explanations, suggesting the marks could be related to physical exercise or training, such as working with a punching bag. Meanwhile, some users used the photo to create jokes and memes, speculating about who the president might have "personally greeted."
