Social Insurance Department Office in Jõhvi to Move to Courthouse Building
Starting August 17, the Social Insurance Department's customer service office in Jõhvi will relocate to the courthouse at Kooli 2a, offering more private and accessible facilities.

The Social Insurance Department has announced that its customer service office in Jõhvi will change its address from August 17. The new premises will be located in the Jõhvi courthouse building at Kooli 2a, replacing the current office at Keskvälk 1.
According to Tatjana Puidet, head of the department's customer service unit, the new space will provide more comfortable and confidential service. Instead of an open counter, separate booths for client meetings will be installed, ensuring greater privacy and a calmer, more comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, there will be more space for visitors in wheelchairs.
The new office is situated near a bus stop, bus station, and railway station. Several other state institutions operate in the same building, and the local government is nearby. Puidet noted that concentrating public services in one location will make them more convenient for residents.
Due to the move, the Jõhvi office will be closed from August 12 to 14, with no in-person service available during that period. The department recommends using electronic self-service options or calling the info line at 612 1360. If necessary, residents may visit another office, the nearest being in Narva at Madise 21.
After the relocation, office hours will remain unchanged: Monday 8:30 AM–6:00 PM, Wednesday 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Friday 8:30 AM–1:00 PM. Lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The office will be closed on the last Friday of each month.
