Tiger Technology, a file data services company headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria, has announced the initial closing of an €8.7 million ($10 million) Series A funding round. The round was led by TCEE Fund IV, advised by 3TS Capital Partners, with participation from TDJ, Endeavor Catalyst, Impetus, and existing investors MFG Invest and Dimitar Ratchev.

Founded in 2004 by Alexander Lefterov, the company specializes in on-premises-first hybrid cloud workflows for mission-critical environments. CEO Iravan Hira stated that the investment validates the technology, customer trust, and international business built by the team. Tiger Technology's flagship solution, Tiger Bridge, acts as a control layer on top of existing storage, enabling organizations to place, protect, and activate data without replacing infrastructure.

According to the company, over 40% of enterprise data remains on-premises, 80% is unstructured, and more than half is "dark"—stored but never analyzed. This costs millions annually and hinders AI initiatives. The global hybrid storage market is projected to reach $29.3 billion by 2030, fueled by growing data volumes and AI adoption.

Tiger Technology manages over 100 petabytes of data for clients in transportation, media, construction, and government. Recent results include a 10x increase in file-restore speed during a multi-petabyte cloud migration, up to 90% reduction in on-premises storage, and unlocking a decade of historical data for AI.

Founder and CTO Alexander Lefterov noted that the company bet early on a transparent bridge between cloud and on-premises, a need now driven by AI, always-on data access, and security threats. Partner Sever Totia of 3TS Capital Partners highlighted the company's unique technical breakthroughs and market opportunity.

The funds will support global growth plans, deepen presence in the US, Europe, and the Middle East, accelerate product innovation, and expand the sales and partner ecosystem.
